An opulent Côtes du Rhône red made with finesse.

Producer: Domaine Boutinot, Cairanne, France.

This comes from the high slopes of the village of Séguret, where old Grenache vines still produce fantastic wine year after year. The altitude these grapes grow at mean they enjoy maximum sunshine during the day and are kept warm by heat from the limestone and soil through the night. The wine itself is aged for two years in a carefully crafted combination of old and new oak barrels, ensuring a subtle addition to its rich flavour.

What we say: "Beautiful deep purple colour. The first glass is a mouthful of ripe cherries from Provence. This red wine has a great structure with moderate tannins and a delicate finish. It is made by a reputable wine maker and is a safe bet to accompany most meals and even aperitifs. To add to its appeal, it's great value for money too!"
