Vintage Laguiole Carving Knife in its box by L’Eclair - Rosewood Handle, 43cm

A superb example of French cutlery craftsmanship, this Laguiole carving knife was handmade by knife maker L’Eclair. It features a long, 2mm sharp thick blade in 440 high-quality stainless steel, renowned for its sharpness and durability. The blade is finished with a series of Granton edge scallops, designed to reduce friction, prevent food from sticking, and ensure smooth, precise carving. The handle, crafted from rich grained rosewood, is beautifully riveted and finished with the iconic Laguiole bee and decorative spine carving. Wishing a reassuring 225g, it offers excellent balance and control.

Story: We bought this piece at a brocante near Lagarde d’Apt in July 2025. 

Condition: It remains in excellent condition and appears unused, presented in its original wooden box - perfect addition for collectors or discerning cooks.
