FAQs about our Brocante Pieces

Where do you find your brocante pieces, and are they unique?

We source our vintage pieces during regular visits to brocantes, vide-greniers, antique fairs and specialist dealers in Provence.

Many are one of a kind, so once sold, we may not find the same piece again.

What condition should I expect?

Vintage and antique pieces will usually show signs of age and use, such as light marks, patina, surface wear or small imperfections.

We describe any significant condition issues and recommend checking the photographs carefully before ordering.

How do you date and identify vintage pieces?

Dates, makers and origins are based on signatures, materials, style and the information available when we source the piece.

Unless formal documentation is provided, dates should be treated as estimates.

Can vintage pottery and glassware be used for food and drinks?

Suitability varies.

Please check the product description before use. Unless we specifically state otherwise, older pottery and glassware should be treated as decorative.

How should I care for vintage pottery and glassware?

Wash gently by hand using warm water and mild washing-up liquid.

Avoid dishwashers, abrasive sponges, long soaking and sudden changes in temperature unless the product page says otherwise.

I am looking for a particular antique piece. Can you find it for me?

We can certainly keep an eye out during our brocante adventures in Provence.

Send us a WhatsApp message with the style, colour, size, budget and any example photographs. We cannot guarantee a find, but we will be happy to look.

Can I send a brocante or art piece as a gift?

Yes. You can send the order directly to the recipient and leave a gift message in the notes box at checkout.

As many pieces are unique, an identical replacement may not be available if something is damaged in transit.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders are usually processed within 2 to 3 working days. Standard UK delivery normally takes a further 2 to 4 working days.

Large, fragile or made-to-order pieces may take longer.

Do you deliver brocante, pottery and art internationally?

Yes, many pieces can be delivered internationally.

Availability and delivery cost depend on the destination, size, weight and fragility of the piece. Please contact us if you are unsure.
