Silky red Merlot, approachable, warm and luxurious.
Producer: Vignerons du Mont Ventoux, est. 1924, Bedoin (Provence).
Les Vignerons du Mont Ventoux is a collective of growers and wine makers established in 1924 in Bedoin, at the foot of Mont Ventoux. They produce delicious and affordable wines with an approach that respects the terroir and traditions. The Merlot grapes of Black Bud grow on a rocky terrain of clay and limestone between 250 and 400m above sea level.
What we say: "The dark purple robe of Black Bud is inviting and sexy. The nose, with notes of dark fruits and herbes de Provence, is an invitation to our region. The wine is warm on the palate, while the tannins are soft and silky. The aromas are delectable, blending coffee and chocolate fondant! It is generous and very approachable for non red wine drinkers and yet it holds complexity and depth to appeal to the connoisseurs. It's just over £14, a real bargain."

Lovely Wine. I can't say much more than the description you give it. I have had it before on a previous purchase and I am sure I will re order in the future. It has a fruity taste, and is an excellent Merlot with a soothing , mellow aftertaste. Goes well with any meal and the flavour lasts if bottle not finished in one day.
