A lavish red wine. Intense, velvety, rich, and complex, Té is the most delicious Ventoux wine we've tasted in years.
Producer: Vignerons du Mont Ventoux, est. 1924, Bedoin (Provence).
Les Vignerons du Mont Ventoux is a collective of growers and wine makers established in 1924 in Bedoin, at the foot of Mont Ventoux. They produce delicious and affordable wines with an approach that respects the local terroir and traditions. Té is conceived with grapes that grow on a high plateau in the Ventoux region. The plots face south and the terroir is a marl and clay mix. After its fermentation, the wine is kept in oak barrels for 6 months. It's then bottled and is only sold after being kept for two years for a perfect, sumptuous red, ready to drink now.
What we say: "Té has an utterly elegant thick and deep purple robe. On the nose, it is an intense breath of fresh and candied fruits, spices and vanilla. On the palate, it's a festival of red fruits, prunes, plums with hints of spices. The perfectly mature 2019 vintage is round, rich and silky. The tannins are present but perfectly balanced and the finish remains dry and pleasing. For us, Té is up there with some of the best wines of the Rhône valley and yet it'll cost you half the price. It's perfect to drink now but could happily be kept for another 15 years."
