I received my order of 2 jars of rouille in the expected time frame. They were well packaged and arrived safe and sound with no damage.
When I went to use both jars at a celebration dinner I was hosting I was very disappointed that the contents of both jars were badly split and curdled looking.
Thy looked so unappetising that I abandoned using them and omitted them from the menu, even though the two jars and postage had cost me £16.70.... not an inconsiderable amount.
I have eaten rouille many times in the past and never seen it look so separated and curdled. If this is to be expected, then perhaps there should be instructions on the jar to explain how to "rescue" it and return it to its emulsified state.
Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering from Tariette in the future.
